On the morning of September 20th, the World Industrial Internet Industry Conference and Rendanheyi Mode International Forum 2020, guided by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government, opened at the Qingdao International Conference Center. With the theme of "Platform Casting Soul, Industry Building Base", experts and scholars from well-known universities and research institutions, and heads of leading industrial Internet enterprises at home and abroad gathered in Qingdao to share industrial Internet innovation practices and discuss collaborative innovation and integrated development in various fields of industrial Internet.

Wang Qingxian said in his speech that every major advance in science and technology has brought about profound changes in productivity and tremendous progress in human society. The Industrial Internet is regarded an important cornerstone of the fourth industrial revolution which is ushering in a "window" period of opportunity for accelerated development under the dual effects of industrial transformation and pandemic impact. He also exchanged some insights focusing on better understanding and exerting the value logic of the Industrial Internet. First, the Industrial Internet is not a new tool of traditional industries, but a new form of industrial organization, which has transformed the organization and form of industries with its cross-regional and cross-industry attributes. Second, the Industrial Internet is an important path, method, and power to promote supply-side structural reforms, which realizes a comprehensive connection with all elements, the entire industry chain, and the entire value chain of the industrial economy, greatly improving resource allocation and supply efficiency. Third, the Industrial Internet is not just an interconnected network, but a living ecology, which opens up all links from consumption to production, and enables their intelligent interaction to achieve all-factor optimization interaction.

Wang Qingxian also said that as a root city giving birth to the manufacturing industry started, Qingdao should rely on platforms such as COSMOPlat and AI Industry Community to cast a solid industrial chain, a solid capital chain, a talent chain, and the technology chain based on the advantages of complete industrial categories and rich application scenarios, use the logic of the market and the power of capital to develop the industrial Internet and accelerate the construction of the entire industry ecology, create a more appealing government service environment in all directions, and mobilize the whole city’s efforts to build the world’s industrial Internet capital and become an experimental ground for China industry Internet innovation and development. Qingdao has introduced the "Planning Plan for Qingdao to Build the "World Industrial Internet Capital" and a package of supporting policies, release 200 "industrial empowerment" scenarios and 50 "future cities" scenarios every quarter to encourage and guide more social capital to participate in the 3000 enterprises’ industrial Internet and AI technology transformation projects in the city, accelerate the introduction and training of a large number of high-end talents and application-oriented talents in the industrial Internet field, strengthen 5G and other technical elements support, and speed up the gathering of industrial elements in Qingdao, making the industrial Internet gain momentum to development. Qingdao is willing to provide an open, innovative, convenient and comfortable development platform for the national and global industrial Internet ecological resources. Together with everyone, Qingdao will share opportunities and move forward with determination in the new development pattern of the country's "double cycle", jointly empowering this great era.

At the opening ceremony, the China Industrial Internet Committee of 100 was formally established, and Li Peigen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as the chairman; the National Industrial Internet Platform Application Innovation Experience Center and the COSMOPlat "Qing Xiangyun" platform launch ceremony was held, and the Qingdao Industrial Internet Public Service Platform ——Microservice platform, ICT public service platform, industrial Internet integration and win-win community, and food industry public service platform were unveiled, and a batch of industrial Internet cooperation projects were signed on site.

At the theme summit, Zhang Ruimin, Li Peigen, Chai Tianyou, Zhou Hongyi, Kong Hanning, and Boris Otto delivered keynote speeches successively.

It is learned that the World Industrial Internet Industry Conference has been held for five consecutive times in Qingdao. Combining online and offline mode, the conference will last for two days, including eight parallel forums and regional forums such as Shanghai, Shenzhen and Qingdao Industrial Internet Development Forum.
